Aims and Objectives

By organising Team Development events, the Extra Mile Group’s aim is to assist the organisation to develop or strengthen team bonding and help teams work more effectively.

Employees are put in unusual environments away from the familiarity of the office and need to work as a team to reach a shared objective.

This not only gives the employee an insight into their personal behaviour, it also gives them the opportunity to see colleagues in a different light and more importantly it gives an insight into the dynamics of the team.

Companies will be able to see how well employees work together, how they react to stress, who has leadership abilities, and how conflicts between the team members can be resolved.

The Extra Mile Group also aims to provide a comprehensive package to all team members to allow the opportunity for post event intervention/support which will continue to support the company’s agenda for change.
This is achieved through a variety of methods, i.e. 1:1 sessions, follow up group sessions within the workplace and meetings with the management team. The objective of this service is to promote a seamless transition from Team Building event to the work environment.

Overall the main objectives of the Extra Mile Group Team Development events are:

  • To provide the employees with a safe and enjoyable experience in which to explore their own behaviours and gel as a team
  • To allow employees with the opportunity to “park” historical difficulties and move towards positive, sustainable change which is transferable to their workplace
  • To provide company’s with a baseline in which to continually develop their teams
  • To develop employee motivation, positive thinking and personal commitment to positive change within the workplace and within their personal lives.
