Door Supervisor Training: Level II

Training & Qualifications

To get the SIA qualification for door supervisors, you will need to attend a two part training course including two multiple choice exams. Part 1, 30 questions pass mark is 70%, 21 correct answers. Part 2, 25 questions pass mark 70%, 17 correct answers.

The course may be delivered over 4 days. The total training time is 30 hours, which includes two multiple choice 1 hour exam.

Training is delivered in two parts as follows:

  1. Role and responsibilities of a door supervisor (14 hours)
  2. Communication skills and conflict management (14 hours)

Training and costs

Cost of the course is £175.00 + VAT per candidate. This includes:

  • All training materials
  • Course booklets
  • Tutorial fees
  • Exam fees
  • Certificate fees
  • Admin fees
  • Exam board fees

The exam is set at the end of each session, and the candidates are informed of their results. All results are then collated by the governing body and certificates delivered to the candidates home address, certification numbers are passed onto employer.

All qualifications lead to the level 2 award, whichever governing body you choose. BTEC Edexcel, BIIAB or City and Guilds. However, we choose Edexcel they have the best turn around time with regards to processing certificates.

Information for Candidates

Candidates must be 18 yrs or over. Candidates must bring several forms of identification with them on the first day of the course. At least 4 from the list below:

  • Passport
  • Driving Licence
  • Birth Certificate
  • Wage slips
  • Utility bills
  • Bank statements
  • Visa statements
  • Mobile phone bills
  • Insurance policies
  • P45

Note: all utility bills must be less than 3 months old.

Also the candidates must ensure they bring 1 x passport size picture, to register with the governing body, along with National Insurance number.
